A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to give workshops to a group of Catholic school principals in Chapala. Among the participants were priests, consecrated women, and laypeople, all interested in strengthening their executive presence and communication. The goal was to unify the way they communicate with parents and, at the same time, improve internal communication with teachers and colleagues.
I really enjoyed interacting with the participants, not only because of their attention and active participation, but also because I learn in my courses and workshops too. I always return with greater personal and professional growth, reaffirming the idea that image and executive presence are relevant to everyone, regardless of their profession.
An inspiring example of personal branding
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that one of the formation directors manages social media exceptionally well. He has more than 540,000 followers on Facebook and 12,000 on Twitter. In addition, he has a YouTube channel with videos related to his vocation.
His online presence is so solid that he appears in the top Google search results. This clearly demonstrates the power of positioning oneself and standing out with a clear and consistent message.
Social media isn't for you? Think again!
Many high-level executives believe they don't need a social media presence. However, Father Guillermo Serra LC shows us otherwise. If you want people to notice you, find you, and know who you are, consider using social media strategically.
Keys to effective communication on social media
Consistency: Maintain a message that is consistent with your personal brand and your professional activity.
Clarity and positivity: Make sure your messages are clear, positive, and relevant to your audience.
Avoid controversial topics: Don't post content that could damage your reputation or alienate your followers.
Father Guillermo Serra LC is an inspiring example of how to build a strong personal brand and use social media to reach a wider audience. If you're looking for ways to improve your executive presence and communication, consider following his example.
